Registered Nurse - (Winter Plan) - PRN - Emergency Department - Dallas Campus

$80 per hour with eligibility for completion bonus once contract is fulfilled!

Position Summary

This is a 16 week PRN/temporary assignment working a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week. Schedules will be made based on shift needs and staff. Must have two years of experience as a Pediatric ED Nurse and have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification and PALS certification. Potential for completion bonus.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Assesses and collects data in a comprehensive manner.

• Demonstrates competence in the delivery of nursing care.

• Evaluates and revises the plan of care based on evolving needs.

• Provides comprehensive, individualized teaching based on identified learning needs of families.

• Communicates in an accurate, objective manner.

o Responds to verbal and nonverbal communication.

o Identifies problems and reports these to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Licenses & certifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing.

• BLS and PALS Required

Experience

• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse as an Emergency Room Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, or an Acute Care Pediatric setting.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Ability to hear and communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner.

• This job requires the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients ranging in age from 0 to 18 years.

• Physical and emotional health adequate for performance.
