Shift: Full Time; Between M - F 6:30am - 5pm with a set third day off, No Holidays

Summary:
This job is responsible for providing nursing care for employees through a comprehensive program that includes first aid, wellness information, care to employees who become ill or are injured at work,contact tracing, return to work clearance, hospital wide TB screening and immunizations, and monitoring employee health annually and as needed to protect patients and employees.
Responsibilities:
* Review and evaluate employee health histories at employment and update annually; administer appropriate tests and procedures; evaluate results and notify employee and others with a need to know; counsel and assist employees regarding needlesticks, body fluid exposures, work-related injuries, or other health related problems; assess risks, make referrals to an adult care physician, and provide literature when available; and coordinate and administer immunizations annually and at other times as deemed necessary; notify employees and others as appropriate of negative titers and/or hepititis B antibodies, and inform them of available vaccines.
* Complete annual re-evaluation of employees with TB tests and/or chest x-rays, and conduct specific lab tests as ongoing revisions of the charts indicate; maintain employee health records and protect the privacy of employee files to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
* Maintain Family/Medical Leave records and review the need for a return to work release from a physician for any employee who has been on sick leave for four or more days; prepare and send notices to employees of health-related matters requiring visits, such as annual health screenings, immunizations/vaccinations and similar.
* Coordinate with Infection Control staff regarding possible infectious diseases and work-related problems; and perform other duties and special projects as required.
* Duties may include providing recommendations for home isolation/work restrictions, reviewing daily symptom monitoring results, and communicating with potentially exposed employees.
* Other duties as assigned.
How You’ll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 3 years previous nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, or in an adult clinic setting Required
EDUCATION
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Current license to practice in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse Required
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Required
