college internships

Careers in health care aren't only for clinicians. A Children's Health internship can provide you with a first-hand view into working in one of any number of functions in a hospital environment. Open to college students enrolled in a related or coordinating college degree program, you'll work full-time, Monday through Friday (8:00/8:30 a.m. - 4:30/5:00 p.m.) for nine weeks, supporting projects to help make life better for children.

acute care therapy services

Provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services to hospitalized patients, supporting recovery, mobility, functional skills and developmental needs.

clinical academic affiliations & community partnerships

Manages clinical student placements, academic relationships and community partnerships to support experiential learning and pipeline development for future healthcare professionals.

clinical development pathways

Focuses on specialty certification preparation, skills development and enhancing internal clinical mobility for team members pursuing professional advancement.

clinical workforce development

Builds talent pipelines and supports clinical team members in skill growth through academic and professional programs.

community relations

Strengthens the hospital's connection to the community through partnerships, advocacy, outreach events and programs that support child and family well-being across the region.

enterprise transformation office (ETO)

Provides project management standards, governance and execution support to ensure delivery of strategic organizational initiatives.

family support services

Supports patients and families by normalizing the hospital environment through play, procedure explanations and coping strategies.

Sets excellence standards in nursing through leadership, education and recognition programs such as DAISY and community awards.

marketing & communications

Elevates brand awareness and delivers strategic communications initiatives, offering interns hands-on experience in campaign planning, media relations and project managment.

Supports ongoing staff development through training coordination, continuing education programs, documentation management and learning platform maintenance.

new pediatric campus

Focused on the strategic planning and design of a state-of-the-art pediatric campus, ensuring alignment with the healthcare system's mission to provide innovative, patient-centric care.

nursing excellence, research & innovation

Promotes clinical inquiry by empowering nurses to explore evidence-based solutions, conduct research studies and implement innovations that improve patient outcomes.

nursing professional governance

Enhance nursing engagement and autonomy through evidence-based governance frameworks supporting practice, education and innovation.

patient safety

Promotes a culture of safety through risk identification, incident analysis, safety event coordination and the development of systemwide safety improvement initiatives.

tax services

Manages tax reporting, compliance and documentation for the organization, supporting audits, filings and analysis to ensure regulatory accuracy.

transition to practice and clinical onboarding

Facilitates onboarding and assimilation for new clinical team members by coordinating training, orientation and transition programs that support clinical competence and confidence.

volunteer services—Dallas or Plano

Manages volunteer programs, onboarding, training and community contributions such as handmade donations.
