The Team Leader, Nursing will be responsible for providing leadership to the front line clinical staff (LVN and Medical Assistants) in collaboration with the Practice Administrator, Lead Physician and Clinical Training Team. The Team Leader serves as a conduit between the front line clinical staff, medical providers and Practice Administrator for the purpose of facilitating communication, overseeing orientation of new team members in collaboration with the training team and evaluating clinical practice with a particular focus of quality and performance improvement. He or she will participate in the hiring decisions and development/training of assigned team members as well as plan and execute day-to-day operational needs by setting priorities, planning for and addressing staffing needs, and coordinating work across others teams as needed. The Team Leader provides guidance, coaching and feedback to team members and provides significant input to employment decisions, addresses performance issues and administers performance reviews. He or she also monitors key metrics and analyzes information to solve ongoing problems to improve team performance. The team leader will be responsible for ensuring that patient flow is efficient. Team Leader, Nursing will spend the majority of his or her time supervising and participating in the delivery of patient care and providing patient education. The remaining time will be spent on tasks that will include: administrative leadership, coaching, mentoring and developing staff, leading quality improvement projects and serving as a Just Culture champion.

Applicants must have a minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience and a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Also, as 100% of all RNs whose job includes 50% or more direct patient care will be required to have a BSN by January 2020, preference is given to applicants who already posess a BSN. Additionally, applicants must have a current RN license in the State of Texas (or compact state), CPR certification and PALS.
