Key role is to support the Revenue Management department objectives through the day-to-day analysis of statistical data generated from the Epic Fee Schedule Master, Novations, EAP files and other data sources as assigned under the direction of the Director of Revenue and Labor Management. The position provides assistance for ongoing and annual audits of departmental charge masters, pricing reviews, pricing strategies and coordinates changes necessary to comply with revised charging/billing guidelines. In addition, the position provides planning, analysis and reporting in support of the Finance Division's Executive Staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides assistance to department management throughout Children's in assessing and interpreting departmental statistical data, pricing and charge strategies. Under the guidance of the CDM Coordinator/Manager, provides various financial and impact analyses prior to CDM maintenance. Provides assistance in completion of annual and other pricing reviews.
Works in identifying revenue opportunities, changing regulations and drives revenue forecasting across reporting regions for short and long term planning cycles including time periods ranging from weekly to as long as five-year plans.
Analyzes financial performance trends with the specific goal of identifying and resolving accounting problems and clarifying opportunities for financial performance improvement.
Provides statistical analyses of data provided in the Child Healthcare Corporation of America for the Pediatric Analysis & Comparative Tool (PACT) database.
Minimum 3-5 years of finance statistical and analytical experience, required
At least three (3) years of progressive healthcare finance experience, required
At least two (2) years of benchmarking and analytics experience , required
At least three (3) years experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook, Word,required
Minimum 2-3 years of experience with Microsoft products Projects and Visio,required
At least two (2) years experience with work-force or labor productivity analyses, preferred
Basic knowledge of ICD9/10, CPT and HCPCS medical coding, preferred
Previous experience with hospital registration/billing system - EPIC system is preferred.
Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required
Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience, preferred
LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:
CPA , preferred
