We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Senior Epic Clarity Report Developer. The Report Developer will be a member of the Data Intelligence and Analytics team dedicated to designing and developing reporting and analytics solutions leveraging the Epic Clarity and Cogito Data Warehouse databases. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of using Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence (WeBI) and/or SAP Business Objects to report against Epic Clarity database. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Candidate will be required to perform analysis, development, and testing of complex reports and analytics with minimal supervision; design and develop high-efficiency reporting solutions based on end-user requirements and understanding of the Epic EMR system and workflows; ability to interact well at all levels of staff and clinicians throughout the organization, engage in intra- and inter-departmental collaboration; recommend appropriate tools and solutions based on depth of reporting and technology expertise; perform thorough testing and QA on new reports and changes to existing reports to deliver high-quality solutions. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Install, update, and troubleshoot the Clarity Console including Data Model upgrades, Oracle SQL, performance and troubleshooting.
•Install, update, and troubleshoot the Cogito Console including Data Model upgrades, SQLServer scripts, performance and troubleshooting.
•Install, update and troubleshoot Slicer Dicer.
•Modify the ETL process to fit Hospital reporting needs, as necessary, performing tasks such as creating new tables, creating new extracts.
•Work with report writers to make sure the data needed for reporting is available in Clarity
•Work with report writers for custom object development
•Verify that the Clarity ETL process is completed daily and troubleshoot and resolve errors that occur during the process
•Verify that the Cogito ETL process is completed daily and troubleshoot and resolve errors that occur during the process
•Verify that the Slicer Dicer process is completed daily and troubleshoot and resolve errors that occur during the process
•Work with DBA team to resolve any core Oracle or SQLServer issues.
•Create new users and following auditing procedures and processes.
•Attend weekly calls and communicate updates, etc. to team
•Work with Epic team for new upgrades and RA/SU installs
•Coordinating and executing software and hardware upgrades
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Licenses & certifications
•Epic Clarity Certification & Epic Cogito Certification Strongly preferred.
•5 - 7 years experience in a complex network environment preferably in a hospital.
•This individual should have thorough knowledge of the Clarity Console and the ETL process and should be able to perform troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows environment.
•Individual should have SQL experience, Oracle and SQLServer preferred or be willing to train in each.
•Experience with Cache technology and database structures
