This position plays a vital role in the execution of fundraising, ancillary group, donor recognition and stewardship events for Children's Medical Center Foundation, CHST and Children's Health. Creation, planning, contracting, coordination, execution and representation are key responsibilities of the role. Critical thinking, complex solutions in stress related situations, the ability to represent the organization and convey the mission of Children's Health is crucial.
Event planning and execution, 2-3 years preferred.
Corporate communications, 2-3 years preferred.
Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as an integral part of the special events team in the creative strategy, planning and execution of all fundraising, donor appreciation, donor recognition, ancillary groups, assigned employee recognition events as initiated by the Foundation, CHST or Children's Health.
Red Balloon Run & Ride - act as a Foundation liaison for all employee team captains, lead captains meetings, convey all pertinent information and answer questions on team building and fundraising. Recruit and coordinate all infield volunteers.
Children Helping Children Tennis Tournament - organize auction and solicit auction items, coordination of percent of sales opportunities, communicate with honored heroes and families, communicate with registered players, produce tennis program and all collateral. Coordinate direct mail with third party fulfillment.
Represent Children's Medical Center Foundation and Children's Health at Third Party Events. This will include speaking engagements, accepting checks, photo opportunities and duties as identified with the specific Third Party.
The Children's Trust - coordinate, organize and attends committee meetings as needed; disseminate member communications
Negotiate pricing for event venues, décor and vendor contracts as assigned. Coordinate the contract process and approval stages with the Foundation leadership.
Create event related documentation, including but not limited to briefings, summaries, gift information, acknowledgements
Oversee and traffic manage production of annual and event specific collateral, e.g., brochures, rack cards, flyers, etc. obtaining all input and approvals as needed
Create event shots lists and coordinate event photographers to obtain shots
Events calendar - log, update and communicate to all participants and attendees
Establish Raiser's Edge modules for third party events. Document all board and donor participation at appropriate functions.
Plan and coordinate tours and luncheons for potential donors and board members at the appropriate campus.
Other events and duties as assigned.
