This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the design for new and renovated space on all campuses; may lead moderately complex and/or small-scale design projects. Interacts with outside design consultants, equipment planners, other vendors and other parties as needed and hospital personnel to assure a functional, aesthetically pleasing and cost effective design. Manage the activities of project consultants including, but not limited to architects, equipment planners and engineers for moderately complex design projects.

Daily communication with department directors and other employees to discuss requirements, plans for design and commissioning; development and presentation of written and verbal communication material appropriate to audience.

Administer project management information and document control system; administer contracts with design consultants; develop further detail for scope, budget, and design development schedule.

Assist in developing project budget, schedule and scope for approved projects in coordination with user departments; direct scope/fee revisions as they develop.

Development of planning and schematic plans, schedules and estimates for projects.

Review and research facility related technical and regulatory issues.

Minimum 5-8 years of related experience Required

Healthcare related Architecture or Interior Design Required


Bachelors or Masters Architecture, Bachelors Interior Design (Professionally Accredited Degrees) Required

Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred


Registered Architect or Interior Designer Preferred
