Children’s Health Pediatric Groupis a network of pediatric primary care offices currently operating 18 practices in the DFW area, including Bachman Lake, Cedar Hill, McKinney and Plano. Children's Health Pediatric Group is a 501c (3) affiliate corporation of Children's Medical Center.Children’s Health Pediatric Group has 1 opening for a Practice Administrator. The Practice Administrator will provide support to2 Children’s Health Pediatric Group locations which include: Pleasant Grove and Saint Phillips. Primary responsibilities include the daily management / supervision of the clinical and front office staff at both practices.


To provide overall operational direction (including both administrative and clinical functions) of a practice or practices in collaboration with the division Director or Sr. Director. Working in collaboration with medical and administrative leadership, the practice administrator develops strategies, sets objectives and allocates appropriate resources in providing the highest quality of care, a safe patient environment, efficient patient flows and excellent service to patients and their families. In addition, the administrator is accountable for fulfilling all relevant regulatory requirements.


  • Select and evaluate staff based on their ability to contribute to organization/division/clinic goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, support and training to the employees.
  • Responsible for staffing, performance management, professional development, clinical competency, recruitment and retention of staff
  • Make employment decisions for the team, seeking direction from more senior leaders on more complex situations
  • Monitor quality metrics and changes that impact clinical, financial or operational outcomes and develop action plans to address areas for improvement
  • Monitor and manage a budget for defined area of responsibility
  • Work closely with Children's Health Pediatric Group leadership, medical directors, physicians and other clinical staff in a collaborative approach to excellence in service and clinical care, optimal outcomes and efficient resource utilization
  • Review, analyze and collaboratively resolve operational issues including medical staff and patient family concerns.
  • Regularly review patient satisfaction data and analyze for opportunities; involve staff and physicians in developing a plan for improvement when necessary; implement and maintain a weekly rounding process.
  • Monitor and analyze financial and budgetary performance including explanation and justification of actual vs. budget variance
  • Monitor efficiency and effectiveness of billing process and patient charges; coordinate with affiliates and partner organizations/providers, as necessary.
  • Human resources, including hiring, training, coaching and disciplining staff
  • Develop and implement new office management procedures according to changing office situations in order to streamline or automate processes or eliminate conflict / duplication
  • Assign and review work of staff to ensure priority management and quality of work performed
  • Conduct staff meetings to ensure positive communication flow throughout the clinic
  • Oversee the business operations and workflow of the practice


  • Advanced knowledge and experience in using personal computers and multiple software applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner, both on the phone and in person
  • Skill and experience in making sound business judgments.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with frequent interruptions


A minimum of 2-3 years of job related experience-required

A minimum of 4-5 years of job related experience- preferred


Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -required

Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience- preferred.
