This direct patient care position is responsible for providing primary pediatric care to a panel of patients under the direction of a supervising physician in a Children's Health Pediatric Group Clinic as assigned. Children's Health Pediatric Group is a subsidary of Children's Health Children's Medical Center providing a medical home to underserved children, primarily insured by Medicaid and CHIP. It is important for this nurse practitioner to provide high quality, evidenced based clinical care including routine illness care, well child care following established guidelines such as AAP Bright Futures and/or the Texas HealthSteps periodicity schedule, and provide evidence based chronic care to identified patient populations such as those with asthma, obesity, ADHD, and/or other medically complex conditions. This role involves functioing as a member of the Children's Health Pediatric Group health care team which may include physicians, nurses, medical assistants, receptionists and the clinic office manager in addition to off-site support staff.
Mondays 5 pm - 9 pm, Tuesdays 12 pm - 9 pm, Wednesdays 12 pm - 9 pm, Thursdays 12 pm - 9 pm, rotating Saturdays
