Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the SUD program, including program compliance with accreditation and payer requirements, marketing program in the community and assuring program operates within budget. This includes collection, management, and analysis of data regarding program effectiveness. Collaborates with medical and behavioral health stakeholders both internal and external to Children's Health System of Texas to coordinate services for teens across the community. Provides administrative and clinical supervision to team of licensed behavioral health clinicians.


Develops and implements strategic plan to provide BH services for substance use disorders.

Hires and oversees team of licensed clinicians to work in the SUD program.

Plans, implements, and directs ongoing evaluation of quality and effectiveness of the SUD program. Responsible for ensuring that program meets quality and outcome metrics as outlined by external agencies and funding sources.

Works within Population Health team to identify schools, community groups and physician practices for referrals, forging partnerships, providing outcomes of program and enhancing the BH services provided.

Develop and monitor key indicators for program results, prepare reports to detail program outcomes, and develop quality improvement plans as needed

Develops and implements new strategies, programs and services based on needs of the community/population served.

Develop and implement administrative and clinical policies and procedures and assure team compliance.

Develops and monitors, in cooperation with VP of Behavioral Health, program budget, staffing, and resource needs.

Assists the VP with seeking external funding sources and preparation of grants and proposals for funding of SUD program.

Develop and present clinical training for ongoing development of clinical skills and expertise of the clinical team.

Provide individual and group treatments as may be necessary during periods of peak need or coverage for clinical staff.

May provide clinical services to clients within scope of professional license/credentials as needed

Responsible for managing the overall SUD team with direct responsibility of clinical and administrative supervision and oversight of clinical and support staff.


Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in behavioral health, required

Research, quality improvement, and/or evaluation experience in behavioral health field, required

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, required


Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience, required

Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or marriage and family therapy, required


Licensure in clinical or behavioral health field (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, RN), required


Sedentary - Exerting up to 10lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
