Position Summary:

Responsible for providing systems expertise and guidance in the design and support of production, test, and development of wired and wireless TCP/IP networking environments. Works with management and other technical experts to develop the long-term architectural strategy for Children’s networking systems. Responsible for task level planning, estimating, and management of small to medium size projects.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the core TCP/IP networking environments including production, QA, and development systems. Install upgrades and patches to existing systems. Identify and implement performance-tuning enhancements as needed.
  • Produce detailed documentation of design components, i.e., technical designs, program design specifications, interim components, etc. Prepare and maintain documentation to support computer operations, related manual procedures, technical references and conduct user training.
  • Provide assistance in the design and implementation of both wired and wireless TCP/IP networking environments. Identify issues and propose alternative solutions to business and technical problems.
  • Assist in development of project/task estimates and project work plans. Complete assigned tasks according to design and schedule.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in supporting Cisco networking environments required

Education:

  • College degree in Computer related field or equivalent experience required
