POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, analyzing and conducting interviews with customer department users, clinicians, and technical teams for Governance over the IT Project Intake process within the IS Project Management Office (PMO). Serves as a liaison between the IS department and customer's department to gather business needs and requirements to create a project business case (BC) for project requests. Facilitates communication from the project request stage through the project management (PM) assignment. Coordinates with teams to review documentation, supports teams during design, execution, testing and go-live activities of a project. Creates weekly IS Portfolio Review agendas for weekly IS Portfolio meeting. Manages small to medium projects as assigned.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the IT project portfolio of approximately 50 projects and 175 new project requests annually
  • Manages new work requests, facilitates as the business analysis and requirements gathering to present to the Information Technology Leadership Team for review
  • Gather and compile end user business needs and requirements in the BC documentation. Performs research and fact-find and turn into scope and project deliverables in the BC documentation

  • Coordinate with teams to review documentation, support project teams during design, execution, testing and go-live activities of a project
  • Create project sites and appropriate documentation using the IS PMO management tool, EPM/SharePoint
  • Perform minor EPM/SharePoint backend administration
  • Create service request/tickets to initiate risk assessments for approved project requests.
  • Coordinate with teams to review documentation, support project teams during design, execution, testing and go-live activities of a project
  • Create project sites and appropriate documentation using the IS PMO management tool, EPM/SharePoint
  • Perform minor EPM/SharePoint backend administration
  • Create service request/tickets to initiate risk assessments for approved project requests.
  • Manage 1 to 3 small to medium size complex projects

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis and/or project management required.

Understand project management methodology required.

EDUCATION:

Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
