The pharmacist in this position is responislbe for all pharmaceutical services in assigned areas. As a member of the miltidisciplinary healthcare team the clinical pharmacist promotes an environment of safe, rational, effective, and efficient medication use while providing services to meet the needs of the patient. Performs other pharmacy services as appropriate.
This position focuses in the NICU but includes responsibilities for all ICU patients, including PICU, trauma, and CVICU. This is an integrated position with both rounding and dispensing responsibilities and a rotating schedule of day shifts. Texas Pharmacy licensure (or eligibility) is required. Residency completion with pediatric experience is preferred. IV Certification and PALS Certification are required, but may be achieved after hire.
