Human Resources Business Partner (Director - level)

Position summary.

The successful individual in this position will support the senior executive
team in assigned business unit and partners with the top business executive to
identify and address people priorities. The Business Partner translates the
business priorities and objectives into people related goals, participates in
business planning and talent management, provides strategic business direction
and design input to the HR centers of excellence for the development and
deployment of HR programs and policies, ensures business unit initiative alignment with organizational philosophies and
serves as a consultant to senior leadership in the identification of key people
metrics and the development of key people performance targets based on ongoing
evaluation of those people metrics.

In this role the HR Business Partner will also conduct workforce assessments based on a deep understanding of the business unit's operational goals, key roles, key resources, current and future needs. They will develop annual workforce plans, identifying current and future state, needs, gaps and plans to fill gaps.

Additional responsibilities include. Developing and regularly providing updates to the business unit talent inventory to include roles critical to short and long term strategy and goals, areas of retention risk, expected retirements, high potential talent development needs, and internal/external strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the achievement of business unit goals.

Identifies organization redesign opportunities to include structural, operational and span of control opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Collaborates with the business unit's leaders to identify and address opportunities to improve staffing, scheduling and other operational productivity outcomes.

Identifies people related operational improvement opportunities (leave management, physician engagement, direct dealing, etc.) and collaborates with HR centers of excellence and business unit leaders to develop and implement improvement plans.

Implements or Performs analysis of operational and people metrics to assess effectiveness of programs and practices and reports to business unit's leadership team organization wide initiatives (compensation programs, talent review, performance management, recognition, etc.)

Recommends and implements customized initiatives and practices consistent and competitive with the business unit's industry standard practice, balancing the integration with enterprise wide initiatives and practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Four year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

10 plus years experience in Human Resources
