POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports the planning, design, development, build and/or other configuration of the Echo credentialing application/system for the Medical Staff Affairs Division; leads and/or coordinates conversions, application/system testing and documentation of system procedures; participates and provides input in training design and development and assists in training execution related to assigned projects; provides go-live support and serves as primary point of contact for on-going production maintenance/support and troubleshooting. Participates in on-call/after-hours database support. Maintains data integrity for provider records in the Medical Affairs Echo credentialing database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

System wide subject matter expert and database analyst, which includes operational oversight and maintenance of the Echo credentialing software. Specific duties include the following:

  • Ensure data integrity, maintenance, and efficiencies with automation for system interfaces.
  • Team leader for performance improvement projects related to automation, paperless credentialing initiatives and departmental workflow and efficiency.
  • Train all users of the Echo credentialing database including medical staff services, graduate medical education, occupational health, information services, and medical staff leadership as needed.
  • Timely creation of standard and ad-hoc reports for the Medical Affairs division and system-wide customers.
  • Schedule and run audits for data integrity of the database.
  • Provide technical support for provider applicants.
  • Act as a liaison between Echo support and MSS, GME, Managed Care and any other organizational department that uses the database.
  • Maintain all database forms, which include privileges, workflows, checklists, letters, and reports for all system users
  • Participates in system implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution as a subject matter expert under the lead of or in conjunction with Information Services
  • Work with IS to develop appropriate interfaces between other clinical systems.
  • Monitors possible data integrity issues internally and across multiple external information exchanges
  • Administers end-user security and access in accordance with Information Services policy
  • Develop and maintain data entry manual
  • Special projects as requested by Medical Affairs Leadership.

EXPERIENCE:

3-4 years of job related experience in a credentials verification organization (CVO), hospital credentialing, or managed care credentialing setting, required

2 years experience in credentialing database support, required

General understanding of SQL and HL7 interfacing, preferred

EDUCATION:

Minimum Formal Education:

Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:

CPCS, preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sedentary - Exerting up to 10lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
