Children's Health's department of Pulmonary Medicine is looking to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant for Inpatient Pulmonary medicine coverage. The provider will provide medical care for critically ill pediatric patients with a braod spectrum of single organ and multi-organ illness. Care includes performing H&Ps, writing orders, formulating a daily plan of care in collaboration with attending physician, coordinating and participating in admissions/discharges, requisting consults, performing procedures as appropriate, and parent/patient teaching. Provider should be comfortable with tracheostomy care, airway clearance devices, venilator management, gastrostomy tube, NG/NJ tubes.
Applicants must have completed an accredited nurse practitioner program or physician assistant program. Nurse practitioners must have acute care certification. Must have an active Texas license (RN/APRN or PA).
