Position Summary:

This position is responsible for multiple components of the Division of Home Care professional billing practice. The incumbent will contribute to overseeing professional billing processes including policy and procedure development and implementation. Ensuring billing compliance with applicable industry guidelines through auditing, monitoring, report building, credentialing, and training Division of Pediatric faculty as needed. Will maintain knowledge of Homecare billing laws, rules and regulations to help the division make more informed business decisions. Will build relationships and foster collaboration among Children's Managed Care, Patient Financial Services, Billing Compliance and Revenue Cycle Management departments.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Verifies/Audits accuracy of provider charges. Reviews diagnostic and procedure coding. Works with providers to answer outstanding questions and produce additional billing documentation as needed. Processes provider billing.
  • Meets with Director of Operations and Senior Director of Home Care on a routine basis to review billing concerns and facilitate process improvement efforts. Facilitates provider education and orientation of new policies and procedures.
  • Maintains working knowledge of third party payors requirements.
  • Works with other Children's departments and systems to ensure billing is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Performs special projects as assigned by the Division of Home Care. Performs other duties as appropriate.


  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience - Required


  • High school diploma or equivalent – Required
  • Two-year Associate’s degree or equivalent experience – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Coder - Preferred
